Partners in Education
A multi-faceted partnership between UCR and K-12 school districts involve all three cornerstones of the UC system: research, teaching and service. One such partnership,between the Riverside Unified School District and UCR, makes science come alive for students. As they apply their classroom learning to interesting research projects, participants in the annual district Science & Engineering Fair at the university become jazzed about pursuing careers as scientists, researchers, engineers and mathematicians.
News & Events
The Sweeney Art Gallery, the recently-dedicated Culver Center for the Performing Arts, and the UCR California Museum of Photography partners with the City of Riverside in its neighborhood revitalization efforts. Known collectively as the UCR ARTSblock, the three art presentation venues host a wide range of exhibits, performances and arts education programs for the public.
