Scholarships — Putting Education Within Reach
UCR has been the door to opportunity for thousands of students since 1954. Our graduates number among the top in their fields nationally and internationally, and our faculty members are renowned scholars and researchers who are dedicated to student success.
Sixty-five percent of UCR students receive need-based aid and many hold full or part-time jobs. The rapidly rising cost of education closes the door to students who seek to prepare for their chosen education at a premier institution. A scholarship can make the difference between a student choosing to pursue a college education or never enrolling. Increased scholarship support ensures that UCR remains accessible to promising high school graduates, community college transfer students and returning military veterans.
Scholarships change lives both for those who receive them and for the donors who make them possible. Your support will enable students of every background and ambition, from first-generation college enrollees to dedicated graduate researchers, to reach their goal. Increased scholarship support also benefits our community by adding talented graduates to the work force.
Our goals are to increase currently used scholarships and raise the level of endowment funds available for future generations. Your gift to scholarships at UCR is the key that unlocks the door to Inland Southern California's premiere educational institution.
How You Can Help
A scholarship can be created by making a one-time gift of cash or securities, by making a pledge — payable over four years or less — or by establishing an endowment. A scholarship can be created with planned gifts such as a bequest in your will, a charitable gift annuity or trust. A development professional can help you create the funding arrangement that best meets your needs.
