The Voice of the UCR's Staff
The UCR Staff Assembly promotes the interests and well-being of all staff career employees. Overseen by an executive board, the Staff Assembly has a variety of roles, including:
- Working in conjunction with the Office of the Chancellor to support the university's mission
- Sponsors social events and outings
- Supports activities that enrich the personal and professional lives of UCR staff
Making a Difference in our Region
All told, UCR has an economic impact on the state of California that exceeds $1 billion. Spending by the university, its students, and visitors helped generate more than 11,000 full-time jobs statewide. On the local front, UCR is a major player in the local economy via its more than 1,000 faculty members, 5,500 staff members and 17,000 students. The university also is a vibrant partner in the revitalization of downtown Riverside as a hub for the arts in the Inland region, sponsoring several arts destinations in the downtown area.
